Spring Break Safety Campaign (2005)

The members of Delta Sigma Phi aimed to educate and inform the University of Michigan Dearborn students on the potential dangers of spring break.

They built a display which contained many types of safety items including date rape drug tests, condoms, and blood alcohol level tests.

In addition to the safety items, the members passed out information packets that explained the dangers of drunk driving, excessive drinking, drugs, and date rape. It also gave information on safety precautions to take to ensure a fun but safe spring break trip.

Safe Sex Campaign (2004)

A very big issue among many adolescents is the issue of sex; more importantly the issue of safe sex.

In effort to promote safe sex, the members of Delta Sigma Phi organized a two-day Safe Sex booth in the University Center. In addition, the members asked students to pledge not to have unprotected sex.

The booth contained information regarding the dangers of unprotected sex, statistics, sex safety tips and facts, as well as an assortment of free condoms.



Anti Drunk Driving Campaign (2003)

The latest morality statistics showed that the leading cause of death for people between the ages of fifteen and twenty was drunk driving.

The members of Delta Sigma Phi asked the students of the University of Michigan Dearborn to pledge not to drink and drive. The goal of the event was to educate students on the severity of drinking and driving, and to remind them that change starts at the individual level.

Delta Sigma Phi was able to get over 375 students to pledge not to drink and drive.
